About This Spot

Stepping into The Project Lounge feels like slipping through a timeworn doorway into a place where stories and spatulas have long mingled. The iconic saloon doors leading to the restroom are just a subtle hint of the character that lingers inside—walls peppered with dollar bills, the hum of slow conversation, and an unpretentious rhythm that invites you to take a breath and settle in. This is not a polished, fast-paced bar; it’s a bar & grill with a bare-knuckle charm that makes you feel like you’re part of a small, spirited community.

The atmosphere is cozy yet rugged, with a soft dimness that encourages conversations and a watchful eye as your meal comes together right before you on the grill. There’s a sense of quiet intimacy in sitting at the bar where the food is made, where friendly voices swap stories and the day’s mood lingers long after the last bite. This isn’t about flash or fuss, but about genuine connection—whether it’s the bartender’s steady, welcoming presence or the way the grill’s sizzle punctuates the evening.

Food here feels rooted in tradition but never static—hearty, thoughtfully crafted, and meant to be savored slowly in good company. Burgers and steak sandwiches arrive seasoned just right, their fresh, direct flavors telling tales of the coast and kitchen care. The smoked tuna dip or a large chicken salad offer a quieter counterpoint for those who want something lighter, while house touches like a carefully balanced potato salad or a well-poured root beer add layers to the experience without fuss. It’s a menu that’s served with the kind of honest work and warmth that you don’t find in many places anymore.

While the light and decor keep the vibe comfortably low-key, the energy is anything but flat. The Project Lounge hums with the pulse of local life, a gathering spot that feels as much like a friend's living room as a dive bar. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite after a long day or sinking into an evening marked by laughs and the comfort of familiar flavors, this place holds onto the kind of food and atmosphere that makes you want to come back.

My boyfriend suggested we tried this small barn grill situation while we were staying for cruisin the coast. They have saloon doors that separate the bathroom area, dollar bills tacked to the wall, and a genuiine just old school vibe we both love. We started at a table, but a very spirited man welcomed us and let us know that service was at the bar. We moved ourselves to the bar and the lady didn't take long to get beers and offer us a menu. I got the hot dog, he got the best hamburger on the coast. Now the grill is at the end of this bar, so you can see them as they are preparing the food. The 2 guys cooking worked effortlessly around each other in their cute anime tshirts and chains having a good time. The food is great, we both devoured our plates. We wanted to get a coozy, but they had run out. So we will be back next year to watch the ying.Yang twins cook and get a koozie.

I’ve heard a lot about this place and wanted to check it out myself. Yes it is a bar. But apparently it is well known for its burgers and yes they are very good. There is plenty of seating and yes, even though the light is not bright… in some of the areas of the bar, you can sit at the bar itself and watch them grill your food. The burgers are definitely fresh no frozen patties here. Also had a chicken salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It is very open and airy, staff was wonderful it was not smoky. And yes, they have popcorn, which apparently the regulars come in the back door and grab a boat of it before they sit down. They will keep your glass of soda full. It was quite busy at lunch, but that is expected from the quality of the food and service. Bathrooms were clean, parking lot was clean. It was a very enjoyable lunch.

It’s a vibe thing, man. I promise you will love it or hate it. And if you hate it, you’re not wrong. If you love it, we can be friends.

Best bar side service you can find anywhere at a dive bar!! We wanted a quick late night meal to-go, and they were able deliver exactly that. When they said Best burger and steak sandwich, THEY MEAN IT! Their quality and service lived up to the name. Burger and steak were perfectly seasoned and dressed and were cooked right at the bar. Tuna dip was fresh. Potato salad recipe didn’t have too much mayo, and bacon ratio was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I didn’t feel like I had to fight for the bartender attention to order.

This is absolutely a dive bar and it is glorious. This is not only the best cheeseburger in Biloxi. It is the best cheeseburger I ever had. The bartender was super friendly and kind. As another reviewer said she was patient with a first timer. I ordered a double for my wife and she told me the pours were heavy and to try a single. She was absolutely correct. You do not need to order a double here. The bloody Mary was excellent! They cooked the burgers and steak right in the bar and it’s very cool to be able to watch them. We will definitely return here for the amazing burger and great vibes.

We will continue to have this place in our favorites. They are know for their hamburgers (I recommend med rare!). Tried the hot dog today and it's better than stadium. High quality ingredients (unexpected for a small bar like this) and cash only. They also have us a sample of the tuna dip which was great. Everything made in house.

The Project Lounge is Our Go-To Spot! We've been going to The Project Lounge for years, and it remains our absolute favorite, hands-down. If you're looking for a place with real character, this is it. It's not one of the flashy new places; it's a true-blue Biloxi institution with a vibe that is just electric and comfortable all at once. The atmosphere is consistently fantastic—always lively, friendly, and buzzing with people. It's the perfect spot to watch a game or just settle in with good company. And the food? It never disappoints. We've tried just about everything, but you simply can't beat their burger—it's genuinely one of the best you'll ever have. The steaks are always cooked to perfection, too. For the quality you get, the prices are fantastic. There's a reason we keep coming back. If you want an authentic Biloxi experience with amazing food and a brilliant atmosphere, The Project Lounge is the place to be.
